Reflexology for Schools & Colleges
Being an approved foster carer and having worked for a long time with children and young people, I am very passionate about education and improvising learning conditions for teachers and students to achieve greater standards.
In June 2017, I delivered reflexology sessions to 14 teacher is St Thomas Community Primary in Swansea, as part of their health and wellbeing strategy and the project was a huge success with teachers feeling distressed, relaxed and happier. With the help of the school's inspirational headteacher Mr Dwyer, we are currently working on setting up workshops for the pupils to also experience reflexology.
I can provide feet or hand reflexology at your school to help teachers and non-teaching staff as well as students feeling happy and motivated at school.
As well as teachers, I am looking to work with Primary schools (treating 7-11 year olds) and Secondary schools (treating 11-18 year olds) focusing on ADHD, Aspergers syndrome, problem behaviour, and developmental issues as well as children who might be victims of bullying, domestic violence and neglect, or those who are from more deprived backgrounds or with a shy or nervous disposition.
Research shows that Reflexology is very well received by the students, and being a non invasive treatment only shoes and socks need be removed and therefore it is easy to fit in with the school day. I have already received excellent feedback from parents, teachers and the children themselves and I am looking for more schools who might want to improve health and wellbeing fore their community.
